Every family has its own traditions. Ours is going to pick a perfect Christmas tree at the best Christmas tree farm in South Windsor. We do it every year on the Friday after Thanksgiving. It became a tradition of ours.

Every year I would lead my men: my sons Nikita, Andrei and my husband Oleg, in the procession which included maneuvering to getting them all (as fast as possible in the car) and drive to the best Christmas Tree farm in Hartford county: Dzen Tree farm.

There, we would get a saw, park our car, and march alone the long line of beautiful, best Christmas trees. Unfortunately, no matter how much we try, the process of picking a perfect Christmas tree for us doesn’t take more than 10 minutes, simply because almost all Christmas trees at Dzen Tree Farm in South Windsor are perfect!

This year Andrei, my youngest son who is seven, insisted on being The Guy who pick our perfect Christmas tree (after we all voted J). You have NO IDEA how happy I was to transfer such an important duty to someone else! So, we all walked around in circles for about 10 minutes, and after Andrei finalized his decision Nikita and Oleg sawed the tree down.
